4 New Orleans Restaurants you need to visit

Mandina's

If you are looking for traditional New Orleans dishes, this is where you need to go. They are said to have delicious turtle soup, although we didn't try it. Instead we feasted on a muffaletta sandwiches and fried shrimp and oysters! This places as a large old wooden bar and plenty of beautiful light.

Dat Dog

Think of a delicious late night gourmet hot dog with any toppings you can imagine. Dat Dog will fulfill your wildest late night (or normal hours) hot dog cravings! Even better, sit on the second floor for excellent people watching on Frenchmen's Street!

Satsuma

If you need to recover after a night in the French Quarter with an earthy (and pretty healthy) brunch, head straight to Satsuma's. They have egg sandwiches with herbed cream cheese. HERBED CREAM CHEESE. They also serve up fresh juice and great coffee.

The Ruby Slipper

If you want brunch or breakfast (too much French Quarter last night?) go to Ruby Slipper! They have a good menu with a shrimp eggs benedict - see photo below and try not to drool! It's located in an old bank so it's got some interesting features.
